A 'Baby Steps' set

Hello everyone,

Sorry for yet another absence. My excuse is that life is incredibly busy!

I do want to properly apologise for not keeping on top of my site, though; my circumstances mean that other things take precedence, and the site gets put onto the backburner for a while!

Plus, for a little while there, I sort of lost my mojo!

Anyway, I've been crafting away today, as I've been ill this week, and it's helped the creative juices, I must admit.

I've made a little set of 4 cards that incorporate the same stamp set from Paper Smooches: 'Boob Tubes'. I've had this set for AGES, and have been completely stumped as to how to use it! So I thought I'd take baby-steps, and do some mini-cards with a lot of white space.I used Lawn Fawn's very versatile 'Just My Type/ Just My Type Too' sets, for the sentiments. Here's how they turned out:

I've been admiring the cute hand-drawn borders for months now, and have never been brave enough to try one myself! But I decided to take the plunge and I'm really pleased with how they all turned out!

I added some co-ordinating dots to finish the card, and I think they make all the difference.

Well, that's it from me for now.

Until next time, then!

Huge Thanks masculine card

Hi everyone,

How are you all today? It's been a nice morning here, with lots of sunshine, although it has been rather windy...

Apparently we're set to get the tail-end of hurricane Katia this evening/tomorrow morning; a 'severe weather warning' has been issued. But it's meant to be more a sort of tropical storm by the time it gets to us in the UK, so hopefully it won't be too bad. But it's probably going to mean a lot of rain, so I thought the following card was sort of apt:

(Did you get it, with the whale and all...?!)

I'm entering this card into the current 'CAS-ual Fridays' challenge; I thought it'd fit in, with those lovely autumnal colours.

When I first saw this patterned paper (miscellaneous; I got it absolutely ages ago!), I loved it but had no idea what to do with it! But when I saw this stamp set from Paper Smooches, I just grinned at the perfect fit :)

I was going for a more masculine look with this one, although the 'thanks' is nice and pretty; I paired the 'Huge' from Surf and Turf, and the 'Thanks' from Pretty Phrases - I love how all Paper Smooches stamps work so well together!

Hope you like it! I'll try and be back a bit sooner with the next one!

Keep safe :)
