Thanks Ever So Much

Hi everyone,

Hope you're having a good week! We had a lovely weekend with family, hence the lack of posts!

Well, I thought I'd share another card:

Here's a close-up of the sentiment and pearls:

This one was so simple to make but took me ages! I've had this patterned paper for a while, but had no idea how to use it! In the end I decided to showcase it and add some accents. Just love those Paper Smooches stamps!

Well that's it from me!

Have a good week and hopefully see you all soon with another card!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Surprise Blog Hop for Dorcas!!!

Hello to everyone who stops by today,

Welcome to the last stop on a blog hop dedicated to my good friend Dorcas. Sadly, she recently lost her much loved cat, Ginger Boy, and we wanted to show her that we're thinking about her.

If you came from Pearl's blog, then you're in the right place.

Dorcas: we wanted you to know that you're in our thoughts at this difficult time - you and the whole family. So here's a little something I made for you, to show that Mr B and I care :)

I know this is a really sad time for you all, and it made me want to come over and put the kettle on and have you let it all out over a cup of tea. You know what we're like in England - tea's our magic medicine! So I hoped that this would cheer you all up a little, even if it just raises a smile!

As I said, this is the last stop on the hop. If anyone got lost along the way, or have no idea that there's a hop going on, you can head over to Stacey's blog and start from the beginning.

Keep smiling!!!

Love Tasha xXx

Celebrate...

Hi guys,

Thought I'd stop by and share another card with you all.

Again, this is one that I made last week in my flurry; I decided to break out some punches and patterned paper that I hadn't used in ages, and see what I could come up with!

And a close-up:

I decided to go for a more masculine look, so to that end I roughed up and distressed the outer edges of the card, and inked up everything else in distress ink.

That's all from me for today!

Peace, love and happiness

Hello again :)

Okay, here's another card from my flurry of activity on Wednesday:

I really fancied using some vellum on a card, and that's where the butterflies come in! I just LOVE these large and pretty sentiments from Paper Smooches; they're a great focal point, and go with anything.

Well, that's it from me today!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Hang In There

Wow.

So it's been 4 months since I seemingly dropped off the face of the planet!!!

The absence has been due to a lot of things, mainly being busy looking after my aunt as her condition worsens, but also because I lost my mojo for a while! And even my desire to craft. I got a bit worried because I would sit there looking at my craft desk, and feel absoultely nothing!

Anyway. Yesterday my fingers started itching (metaphorically, of course), and I started to whip up cards out of nowhere! I don't know what came over me, but it was wonderful! So I'll be sharing these over the course of the next week.

Here's the first one:

And a close-up of some of the accents:

I tried to keep it pretty simple, but in fact this card took FOREVER! For one thing, I was trying to match the polaroid image to a patterned paper background that just would not work! So I took another piece of patterned paper, stamped it using Teeny Tiny Backdrops in white chalk ink, and that looked so much better!
The cute little critter, sentiment and banner are all from the 'Hang Ups' stamp set from Paper Smooches. The polaroid is from Lawn Fawn's 'Say Cheese' set.

I'm entering this into the Young Crafters Unite challenge:

It's good to be back :)

Catch you later,
