Falling for Flowers

Hi everyone,

Once again I apologise for my long absence; as usual it's been hectic here and my posting kind of took a back seat :(

I did continue crafting, though! Although i did make a few variations of the same card and played around with making sets.

So, the card I'm going to show you today is one of 4 variations on the same style. The thing is, it showcases a beautiful background stamp, which I have focussed on as my main image:

I used the 'Floating Blossoms' stamp from Hero Arts for this card. I simply coloured it with 2 different copic markers for the flowers, and another 2 for the leaves.
Then I masked the flowers off, and used Dusty Concord distress ink to ink up the background.
I added accents with a white gel pen, added a vellum white-embossed sentiment, and mounted it on a white linen card blank.

I love the vellum sentiment strip - Britta Swiderski first introduced me to it, in this post, and I've been hooked ever since (as you'll soon see!!!).

Ooooh and one more thing before I go: I wanted to let you know that I'm sooooo excited; I placed my first order with Papertrey Ink a couple of weeks ago, and am soon to be getting my hands on some of their new releases, as well as some stamps that I've had my eye on for QUITE a while (thank you, Dorcas, for helping me out :)
I've also ordered some Lawn Fawn sets, and some more stamps from My Cute Stamps, so look out for some cards made using those in the upcoming weeks!

Anyway. I'm really off now, and heading for my bed, but wanted to get in a final post for Feb so I can kid myself that I haven't been away for THAT long...(!)

Nite nite!

Tasha :)
