Rainbows and Sparkles

Hi everyone,

Hope all is well with you; sorry I haven't been around the last few days! It was a busy week and I didn't really get a chance to indulge in posting any new creations! And then I had a pre-interview interview for a job I reaaaaaaaaallllllly want to get... so let's see how that goes!

Anyway, today's card was just itching to get out once I had made this masculine card for my husband. The girly side of me couldn't wait to whip up a fitting card, and so this is what I came up with:

And a close-up of the sentiment:

This one was fun to make, because the stamping comes out so pretty! I just inked up different parts of the stamp in different colours of distress ink, spritzed it with my mini-mister (Ranger), and stamped it on some white cardstock.

Once it had dried, I stamped over the cardstock with the Friend Definition stamp in Versamark ink, removing ink from the parts of the stamp which covered the previously stamped image. I embossed this using a clear glitter embossing powder, which has left a pink tinge and looks quite cute, I think :)

I mounted this on white cardstock, added some embroidery floss and the distressed sentiment tag, and hey presto: one girly card!

Hope you like it; I'm off to get some lunch! :)
