New techniques!

Hi everyone,

So welcome to my first post for April :)

The card I want to share today involves a couple of new techniques for me - I'll show you:

Well, the first thing is that this is a clear card - I made 3 of them over the weekend because they're so much fun!!! Only problem is that they're really tricky to photograph! But after making the first one, I was hooked! I just used some regular acetate, cut it to size and then folded it in half. I made sure I went over it with my bone folder quite a few times, to make sure I had a really good crease. Then I folded it back on itself a little, to loosen the fold a bit, otherwise it's difficult to stick anything on the inside.

And here's a close-up of the second technique:

That's right, rolled felt roses! Here I used the mini rolled roses die by die-namics with the felt, used Glossy Accents to adhere it together, and then some pearls in the centres for some interest.

The banner is from 'Bannerific', the 'you' is from Sophie's Sentiments, and the butterfly and leaves are from 'Flutter By', all by Lawn Fawn.

I'd like to enter this card into the current Lawnscaping Challenge:

I coloured the butterfly and leaves using Copics, and the label background and banner were coloured using Distress Ink.

Hope you liked this one - I loved making it (apart from all the static)!

Hope you had fun and thanks for stopping by :)
