Those Delicate Blossoms Again...

Hello for the second time today - did you miss me? :)

I was desperate to make a card today - I'm not feeling so good, and crafting always lifts the spirits, for me!
I saw the CAS-ual Fridays challenge for this week, too, and had to have a go; it was just so intriguing!:

I chose the combination "Gems/Dies or punch/Flowers".
When I saw the 'flowers', all I could think of was those pretty HA poppies. I thought how pretty they would look with the tiny Martha Stewart butterflies, and some pearls as gems.

Here's what I came up with:

And a close-up of the sentiment strip and punch-detail:

I just love how this one turned out! It was just Copic colouring and distressing - even those butterflies are distressed. I inked up some white paper with Tumbled Glass and went over it lightly with Vintage Photo, punched the butterflies and then inked the edges again with the VPhoto.

I masked the flowers, and distressed the piece using Antique Linen, going over the edges with some more Vintage Photo.
I was a bit sceptical about whether those punched butterflies would go, but I am just loving the finished card!

Hope you love it too, and see you again soon for another card :)

SUPPLIES:
Stamps: Delicate Blossoms, Hero Arts; Sophie's Sentiments, Lawn Fawn
Ink: Various Copic markers; Vintage Photo, Antique Linen, and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, Ranger;
Cardstock: White, and cream, from my stash
Etc: Pearls, glue-dots, from my stash; Martha Stewart 3-Butterfly punch
